A "Live Your Life, Buy The Book" Review
This book is a great book for those snuggly days when you want to curl up with a heart warming read. It really was a lovely romantic story.
Ashten applies for the personal chef position, working for Trent Cole – mostly based at his house. Which is gonna be interesting ;-) Both guys think “oooh” when they meet at the interview. Both guys assume the other one is straight … they are both wrong. Obviously.
When Ashten gets the job Trent makes it clear about boundaries and certain areas of the house are out of bounds. He is adamant that things are totally above board, no fraternising. At all. It turns out that the two guys have a common link through family/business connections so they do, in fact, meet up socially and soon enough find out that being gay is another common link. As well as the mutual attraction which has been there since the interview. Resistance is, of course, futile – it’s just a matter of time before they hook up. :-)
I really liked this story. The two guys get together pretty quickly and they are really cute – Ashten is this confident, energetic little duracell bunny; and Trent, while never scaling the heights of being a true Alpha, was still very strong. Although… he did drive me a bit barmy at the end with his pig-headed ways… read the book – you will see just what I mean! The story has minimal angst – which is always a good thing in my book! There is a nasty twist and it is pretty obvious – heck, even I guessed it! But that in no way detracted from my enjoyment. I think this is the first book by the author and she is off to a great start! I look forward to more from her! If you want a sweet read with minimal angst then go, buy the book. You won’t be disappointed!
