Iain Munro and Tavish MacIntyre have grown up together and they have fallen in love.
Both recognize a future for them is impossible. Scottish law makes such a relationship illegal and Tavish will soon become laird of Creachann-Dubh with all the responsibilities that title brings, including marriage and an heir.
As their attraction deepens, the best the lovers can do is to spend time together when Tavish can persuade Ian’s father to let Ian travel with him. The soon-to-be heir believes he can keep Ian by his side no matter the obstacles.
